Advanced Engineering Group

The Advanced Engineering Group helps customers achieve competitive differentiation and optimization through process innovations early in the design and manufacturing phases. These include automation and control, robotics, microelectronics packaging, assembly technology development, test development, wearable technology development, 3D/Additive printing, reliability engineering, failure analysis, structural testing (e.g. AOI, SPI, 5DX, ICT) and environmental testing (ESS, HALT/HASS). The group also provides process validation, development of manufacturing standards, design guidelines, and technology transfer to sites including test and automation process deployment.

Assembly, Test and Roadmaps

Reliability and Failure Analysis

We test the reliability of components and complete products. Similar to forensic analysis, we take materials apart and evaluate them using scientific methods, which provides unrivalled insight that minimizes risks. Full characterization of components or products are performed using X-ray, tensile testing, cross-sectioning and materials analysis. Then we test complete products in chambers that simulate temperature, humidity, salt spray, ultraviolet rays, lighting, and drop and abrasion testing. Our testing services help bring products to market safely and within regulatory standards, reducing setbacks and delays.
